A lush Primitivo loaded with flavours of dark berries, cherry and plum, with accents of warm baking spice and dried fruit character. Juicy ripe fruit is perfectly balanced with racy acidity and fine-grained tannins for a smooth rounded finish.
14% alcohol, medium-full body, medium oak, ultra premium dry wine. With grape skins.
Indigenous to the wider Puglia wine growing region, Primitivo has been grown in Salento for centuries. It is the signature grape of the region and a source of pride. The name Fiero is Italian for proud.
Primitivo is a versatile varietal delivering a range of styles, from brash high alcohol wines to elegant and crisp. The Salento style tends to fall in the middle, playing on the fruity nature of the grape and favouring a slightly softer body, striking a flawless balance of ripe fruit, spice, acidity and structure.
